LIME MORTAR FOR RENOVATION WORK

Light grey mortar mix based on constructional lime sand.

The mix is used for levelling walls of different mineral construction materials, for laying walls of limestone and other dolomitic rock. Also, for renovating all kinds of old masonry and plastered surfaces.  Used for interior and exterior application.

LUBIKROHV
LIME MORTAR
For renovation work

Used for interior and exterior application.
Light grey mortar mix based on constructional lime and sand.
The characteristics of this mix are close to that being used for hundreds of years in Estonia (the Baltic Sea area) to lay and plaster most of old limestone and brick walls.

USED
For plastering and levelling walls of different mineral construction materials
For laying walls of limestone, dolomite rock and brick.
For renovating old masonry and plastered surfaces.

BACKGROUND
It is recommended to clean backgrounds beforehand. Paint, dust and other substances must be removed.

PREPARATIONS
Pour the necessary amount of mix into the mixing bowl.
Add water 16-22% of mix weight. (4-5.5 litres per 25 kg bag).
Mix mechanically or by hand until thoroughly wet.
Let stand for a while and mix again.
Ready-made mix can be used for 8 hours.

APPLYING
Classical methods are used when plastering and laying walls.
When refurbishing or renovating masonry, manual method can be used that preserves the old look of the wall and masonry.
Layer thickness when covering large areas is usually 5-15 mm, when renovating plaster surfaces up to 30 mm.

SETTING
Setting time depends on the humidity and water absorption of the background, air humidity, and the base and air temperature. Many other factors such as wind, sunshine, rain, etc. influence the setting time.
The first coat has to be dry before the second application.

RESTRICTIONS
Air and room temperature has to be above zero.
Sudden changes in temperature may deteriorate the quality of surfaces that are not completely hardened.
LUBIKROHV has a mild corrosive effect. In case of contact with eyes or mucous membrane rinse immediately with plenty of clean water.

STORAGE
Bagged mortar has to be stored in dry conditions.
Storage time in dry conditions is 1 year.

When plastering large areas approximately 10 kg/m2
