Description

TORDEX 1
SPRAYED CONCRETE

A pumping-spraying-grade weather-resistant fine-grained non-draining dry concrete.
To be levelled with a steel trowel. Can also be dry-sprayed.

USAGE
For repairing and improving quays, bridges and other concrete elements.
For repairing all kinds of assembly faults.
For reinforcing weakened concrete surfaces.
For building a protective layer for aging concrete surfaces.
Can be used indoors and outdoors.

PROPERTIES
Sprayed concrete has strong adhesive strength with the substrate. Suitable substrates are old concrete, stone or any other mineral material. Tordex 1 has good mechanical resistance to bending and compression strength.
The product contains polymer to give it water and frost resistance.

COMPOSITION
Quartz sand (maximum grain fracture 2 mm), Portland cement, binders, polymers, plasticisers and fibres.

PREPARATIONS
Clean the substrate from dust and loose particles. Remove worn and loose concrete.
Clean the exposed framework and treat it with anti-corrosive agents.
If the substrate is weak, reinforce it with a solution of Uninaks adhesion dispersion and water.
The best results are achieved when spraying. The injected surfaces can be smoothened and finished.
When hand-laying pour the required quantity of the dry mix in the mixing bowl or mixer.
Add water 14-16% of the mix weight. (3,5-4 litres per 25 kg bag)
Stir mechanically or manually until the compound is fully homogenous.
Let the mix settle for a while and stir once again.
The ready mix can be used for 1 hour.

PROPERTIES OF HARDENED CONCRETE

Fresh density:                                                           2110 kg/m3 EVS-EN 12390
Dry mix density:                                                        1.6 kg/dm3
Average water absorption coefficient:                  C =0.1 kg/(m2 .min.0.5) EVS-EN 1015-18
Tested durability against freeze-thaw                   56 cycles mass loss 0.03 kg/m2 EVS 814:2003
Adhesive strength of hardened mix:                      2.0 N/mm2 EVS-EN 1015-12
Maximum grain fraction:                                           2 mm
Working temperature with the mixture: +5 to +25° C. Lower working temperatures reduce curing speed of the mix. In case of dry conditions and high temperatures, the treated surfaces should be re-moistened. Freshly treated surfaces should be protected from direct sunlight.

STORAGE, WARNINGS
Store bagged mix powder in dry conditions.
Shelf life is 1 year.
The product contains cement. Contact with water causes alkaline reaction. Can cause skin irritation. Upon contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water. For more specific information please refer to the Safety Data Sheet.
