SUBSTRATE FOR ARMOURING GLUE
Can be used on substrates made of various insulating materials, such as expanded polystyrene boards, mineral wools, glass-wools. Armouring glue is also a suitable dry mix for armouring and levelling walls made of lightweight concrete blocks and other mineral materials.
The substrate shall be clean, hard and dust-free. Clean substrates from substances reducing bonding properties, such as loose paint, grease, dust, etc.
MIXING
Water consumption is 20-24% or 5-6 litres of clean tepid water per 25 kg dry mix package.
Pour the necessary quantity of water into the mixing bowl. Add mix powder. Mix carefully until the mixture is completely wet. Wait for a couple of minutes and stir lightly once again.
Depending on environmental conditions use ready-made armouring glue within 2-3 hours.
APPLICATION
Armouring glue is applied in two layers. The first layer serves as glue for installing grid reinforcement and the second as a levelling aid of floating coat.
Apply a 2-3 mm thick mix layer in the width of the reinforcement grid onto the insulation material. Use a wide steel trowel. Push the reinforcement grid immediately into the fresh mix. Spread mix coming out from openings of the reinforcement grid so that the entire grid is covered with mix. In case grid panels are joined together, overlap of panels shall be at least 10 cm.
The second layer serving as a levelling layer shall be applied the next day, when the first layer is completely dry.
In case of a smooth substrate, the thickness of the entire armouring layer shall be 5-6 mm.
CURING
One layer of armouring glue dries in one day. Dried armouring glue is to be covered with UniTherm deep impregnating layer.
A precoated surface makes a good base for applying
UniTherm structural plaster or Uninaks Siler 3 spray plaster.
Well-smoothed armouring glue can also be covered with façade paint suitable for mineral surfaces.
CONSUMPTION
Approx. 6-7 kg of dry mix to armour smooth insulation surface in two layers.
LIMITATIONS – WARNINGS
Substrate and ambient temperature during the application process shall exceed +5 0C.
Drying fresh surfaces shall be protected from rain and direct sunlight exposure.
The product contains cement. Contact with water causes an alkaline reaction. Can cause skin irritation. Upon contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water.

STORAGE
Shelf life in original package and in dry storage conditions is up to one year.
