Description

UNIFLEX
SINGLE-COMPONENT WEATHER AND WATER-RESISTANT MEMBRANE-MASTIC

USAGE
For sealing water-resistant tanks,
for building water-resistant protection layer for foundations and cellars,
as an insulating layer on walls to be tiled, for water-proofing balconies, terraces and roofs, as a protection layer for concrete structures of garages and bridges, as a water-resistant layer in any repair work.

Uniflex mastic protects buildings from pressure-water, permanent soil moisture and UV radiation.

COMPOSITION OF DRY MIX
Polymers ensuring water and frost resistance, quartz sand, plasticisers and pigments.

SUITABLE SUBSTRATES
Surfaces made of concrete, plaster and moisture-resistant putty.
Masonry made of various bricks and blocks.
Walls and floors made of plasterboards.
Surfaces made of natural stones, etc.

PREPARATIONS
Clean substrates from substances reducing adhesion properties, such as loose paint, dust, grease, etc. For applying Uniflex the substrate may also be moist but not wet.
Pour clean, tepid water in the mixing vessel.
The ratio of water and dry mix should be 18-25%. Use 1.8-2.5 litres of water per 10 kg bucket.
Add Uniflex dry mix.
The required water quantity depends on the moisture content of the substrate, its porosity and application method of the mastic.
Mix carefully until the mixture is completely wet.
Let the mix stand for approx. 5 minutes and thereafter stir slightly again.
In room temperature conditions the ready mastic can be used for 1-2 hours.

APPLICATION OF UNIFLEX MASTIC
The mix is applied on a surface with a paint roller, brush, trowel or a paste gun.
2 layers are recommended.
Minimum mastic thickness in case of moist and wet substrate is 2 mm, in case of pressure water 3 mm.
After the substrate has been prepared apply mastic in a uniform layer on the entire substrate. Consumption approx. 1.5 kg/m2.
The second layer can be applied when the first layer is dry (in the temperature condition of +20° C in 6 hours or more).
The tools shall be cleaned with water immediately after finishing the work.

DRYING TIME
Before applying the second mastic layer on the first one wait minimum 6 hours depending on the environment temperature and air humidity.
Do not speed the curing process with air heaters, underfloor heating or circulating air.
During the curing process mastic must be protected from direct sunlight.
Uniflex mastic can be covered with various linings in 3 days.

RESTRICTIONS AND WARNINGS
For applying Uniflex mastic the temperature of the substrate, mix and room must be in the range of 5…. 25 °C.
Hardened Uniflex mastic is not resistant to mechanical damages, which may destroy the membrane. Areas that can be damaged should be covered with boards or any other mechanical protection layer.
If the substrate is unstable, it is recommended to use armouring textile in the mastic layer.
To avoid clogging of the sewerage system, the mix should not get in the system.
The product contains cement. Contact with water can result in an alkaline reaction that may cause skin irritation. Upon contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water. For more specific information please refer to the Safety Data Sheet.

STORAGE
Store mastic powder in buckets in a dry room.
Storage time in original package in dry conditions is 1 year.
