FINE FINISHING PLASTER
LIGHT-COLOURED QUALITY PLASTER FOR INTERIOR APPLICATION
For finishing walls and ceilings in dry conditions
Suitable for covering large areas and also for smaller repairs
Easy to sand, results in a very smooth finishing coat
Hardened surface accepts paint and wallpaper
COMPOSITION
Light limestone powder, polymerous binders. Grain size max 0.25 mm.
SURFACE
Surfaces finished with plaster, also smooth concrete and light concrete blocks are suitable.
Plasterboard walls and ceilings.
Porous fibre reinforced board or wood chipboard.
Substances, like loose paint, dust and grease, impairing adhesion with the surface must be removed.
PREPARATIONS
Pour necessary amount of plaster powder into a mixer or mixing vessel.
Add water 33–36% of powder weight
(6.6–7.2 l water per 20 kg bag).
Mix carefully until the powder is completely wet.
Let stand for 30 min and mix again.
Ready-made plaster is usable at room temperature for 24 hours.
PLASTERING
Plaster is applied with a trowel or paste-spraying gun.
When covering large areas it is recommended to use 80 cm long steel float, for smaller areas 30 cm and shorter trowels.
Average layer thickness when covering large areas is 1 mm.
Layer thickness at partial plastering is 2 mm.
When applying several coats, leave the previous coat to dry. Sand with fine sandpaper if necessary.
Ceilings may be left stuccoed.
Clean and wash the tools with water immediately after completing the work.
SETTING
Setting time depends on layer thickness, air humidity and temperature. Average hardening time for one layer is 24 hours.
RESTRICTIONS
Surface, plaster and room temperature must be + 10 °C.
Not suitable as base for tiling or for levelling floors.
Not suitable in humid conditions. Use moisture-proof plaster SILER 2 in these spaces.
In case of contact with eyes or mucous membrane wash with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor if necessary.
CONSUMPTION
1.3 kg/m2 when covering large areas.
STORAGE
Store bagged plaster powder in dry conditions.
Storage time is 1 year.
