Description
KIUDPAHTEL
FIBRE PLASTER
Light plaster based on cement, polymers and synthetic fibre.
Used for interior and exterior plastering.
For plastering moisture proof surfaces.
For plastering porous concrete blocks and foamed plysterol.
Using fibre plaster reduces micro cracks in the layer to a minimum.
BACKGROUND
Lightweight concrete blocks, concrete, plastered and stone surfaces, foamed polysterol boards (if recommended by the producer) and other mineral surfaces are suitable.
Background must be clean, hard and dust free. Loose paint, grease, dust and other substances reducing adhesion to the background must be removed.
PREPARATIONS FOR WORK
Pour plaster mix to the mixing bowl.
Add water 33-35% (8.25-8.75 litres per 25 kg).
Mix carefully until thoroughly wet.
Let stand for a few minutes and mix again slightly.
Ready-made mix can be used at room temperature for 4 hours.
PLASTERING
Mix is applied with a taping knife.
When plastering large areas, long steel float can be used.
Average layer thickness when plastering large areas is 2-8 mm.
At partial plastering the layer thickness is up to 10 mm.
SETTING
Setting time of one layer depends on layer thickness, air humidity and temperature. Average setting time until tooling with abrasive is 3-8 hours.
Let the previous layer dry for 24 hours before applying for the second time.
Dried plaster is “breathing” and does not considerably restrict the movement of humidity in the background.
RESTRICTIONS
Background, plaster and room temperature must be above +5 ˚C.
Plaster is not suitable to be used on greasy or oily background, non-moisture proof plaster, wooden surface and other non-mineral surfaces.
STORAGE
Store bagged plaster powder in dry conditions.
Storage time is 1 year.
COVERAGE
6-7 kg/m2 at 5 mm layer thickness.
